The 10th round of the Formula One Grand Prix will take place in Spain. The first race of the 2024 season took place on 2 March and was staged in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The Spanish circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya, built in 1991, is one of the most challenging and interesting circuits. During its existence it has hosted 33 Formula 1 world rounds and has been repeatedly modernised to allow drivers to unleash their talents and the capabilities of their cars. Here Michael Schumacher has set the lap record four times. Currently, the best time belongs to Max Verstappen, set by him in 2023. It's also worth noting that Max won this race in 2016 when he was just 18 years and 277 days old.

Max Verstappen, the reigning champion, is currently leading the championship, followed by his team-mate Sergio Perez and Ferrari's Charles Leclair. In the Constructors' Cup, Red Bull is in first place, with Ferrari in second and McLaren in third. Given that the season has just started and more races are expected, the leaders could change and extra prize points could be important. The season will conclude in December with two rounds in Qatar and at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
